2008 Walking Seat Equitation Class

An Equitation class is the ONE class where the rider is solely judged on their functional riding position and overall appearance.  The responsibility of knowing and understanding the rules is placed upon the rider, not the talent of the horse.

It is here that a young person learns to memorize all the parts of their horse and tack. This class is a challenge to our Youth to gain more knowledge through experience and we hope that it will offer extra incentive for parents to become more involved and help their young riders by providing them with instruction, guidance and an opportunity to seek help in areas they have not mastered.

The MWHA was pleased to offer this class at the 2008 MWHA Celebration & Futurity held in Verndale, MN. We are proud of our youth and proud to say keep up the good work!
