Ashley and Sally Frones

Secret’s Favorite Harmony (aka Tosca) was bred, born, raised and trained at Hobby Horse Farm by Sally Frones. Tosca is a Versatility Horse Extraordinaire.

Her first cattle drive was at the age of three in Varoqua, WI. She also began her successful show career that summer as well.

At the age of four, another cattle drive along with some unfriendly buffalo during a week  ride in North Dakota.

As a five year old, she spent a week trail riding in the Big Horn Mountains in WY at 11,000 feet.  She was in great shape at the end of the week.

Montana was the location of a week trail ride and cattle drive as a six year old.

During this time, Tosca continued with her successful show career and in her spare time, spent a couple years as a mount in the Carlton County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse.

Show career:

  • Tri State High Point Winner 2006 – 2011 – Youth and Adult
  • Numerous MWHA High Point Wins – Youth and Adult
  • North American Championship Shows – St. Louis, MO
    • Ranch Horse Class winner three years running
    • Dressage Intro level – winner
    • Dressage Training level – winner

    • Heritage 3 Gait Open – winner (Heritage class are horses that demonstrate the best correct gait of a Tennessee Walker while keg shod)
    • Youth Trail Pleasure Western – Winner
    • Youth Trail Pleasure Western 3 Gait – National Champion
    • Trail Pleasure English – Reserve National Champion

In November, 2008 Tosca suffered a broken hind leg (2 splint bones had to be removed) .  She was back in the show ring the next spring, and has been sound ever since.

Tosca also performs as a lesson horse for youth and adult. She demonstrates the correct four beat gait for educational purposes as well.

Tosca is truly a supreme example of the temperament, quality of gait and conformation of the Tennessee Walking Horse Breed.
