Minnesota Walking Horse Association

The Minnesota Walking Horse Association (MWHA) is comprised of horse enthusiasts from all walks of life. Some members enjoy trail riding, others enjoy breeding, some participate in the show ring and others ride in field trials.  The Tennessee Walking Horse is also used for cowboy mounted shooting events, the mounted patrol and are often found helping people with special needs. All of our members have one thing in common - the Tennessee Walking Horse.

Club Profile

Organized in 1968, the Minnesota Walking Horse Association began with a simple one day horse show and clinic.  In 1970 the Minnesota Celebration horse show was formed.  The year 2006 marks the 37th Anniversary of the MWHA Celebration and it is still a highlight of our show season.

Throughout the years the MWHA has grown to include clinics, equitation classes, equine seminars, trail rides, fund raising events, parades, a futurity, an annual awards banquet and a high point award program. 

Membership

Anyone can become a member of the MWHA.  As a member you receive a monthly newsletter, a yearly color stallion directory and an opportunity to participate in a wonderful club. The MWHA is a great way to stay tuned to what's  happening in your area.
