Novice horses are horses who have not won three or more blue ribbons in a rail class. The Novice Horse Award recognizes horses who, in the current year, receive their third blue ribbon and “graduate” out of the novice division.

Only registered TWH horses owned by MWHA members will be eligible for the Novice Horse program with the exception of horses shown in All Day Pleasure and Country Pleasure. If the horse is owned by more than one person, both owners shall be current MWHA paid members and only one owner needs to pay the program fee each year.

Note points are earned in any year the horse is eligible for AND enrolled in the program. The horse must be enrolled in the program the year they “graduate” to earn an award.
