Novice riders are exhibitors who have not won three or more blue ribbons in a rail class. The Novice Rider Award recognizes riders who, in the current year, receive their third blue ribbon and “graduate” out of the novice division. To be eligible, an exhibitor must be an MWHA member. Note points are earned in any year the rider is eligible for AND enrolled in the program. The rider must be enrolled in the program the year they “graduate” to earn an award.
